Psalm 5:3 states, "My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up." The Bible commentator Matthew Henry wrote a book called Experiencing God’s Presence. In it (p.11), he says: "Although Psalm 5:3 may be taken as a promise that God will hear our prayers, it is also to be taken as David’s promising God a constant attendance upon Him in the way He has appointed. ‘My voice shalt thou hear’; that is, I will speak to You. Because You have inclined Your ear to me many a time, therefore I have taken up a resolution to call on You at all times, even to the end of my time. Not a day will pass without Your hearing from me."
