In this famous passage, Solomon teaches that every purpose has its proper time. In seven verses (v.2-8), he lists 28 things in 14 opposing sets that have a purpose under the heaven—from a time to die and to be born to a time of war and of peace. He concludes by stating that God has “made every thing beautiful in his time” (v.11). God has a beautiful sense of timing.

Why do we have so much trouble seeing God’s hand in the events of each day? What are some examples of how God has exercised His beautiful sense of timing in your life? In what areas do you now need to trust His timing?
