Introduction: The distance between man and God is great. This is partly based on the greatness of God, but the distance is magnified even more by the lowliness of man. Knowledge of this great gulf is not meant to discourage man, it is meant give man an idea of the greatness and holiness of God. We cannot comprehend this greatness by ourselves, but the scriptures give us some comparative statements that will leave us in awe.

- The Greatness of the Dust of His Feet (Nahum 1:3)

Conclusion: What would a man do if one of the greatest of dignitaries took notice of him and cared for him deeply? This man would give of himself in a great way to ensure the dignitary of his great choice. How much more should we be concerned for the favor of God, seeing He is the highest of all?
