Introduction: Our walk in the world is important, but just as important is our walk among other believers. In this passage we find three points concerning our walk. If we could master these three points not only would it please the Lord, but it would also bring Him a great deal of glory, which we learned in the last chapter is the ultimate responsibility of the church throughout all ages.
- A WORTHY WALK (Ephesians 4:1)
- Walk Worthy of our Calling (Ephesians 4:1; 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12)
- It is a high calling (Philippians 3:14)
- It is a holy calling (2 Timothy 1:9)
- It is a heavenly calling (Hebrews 3:1)
- Walk Worthy of our Lord (Colossians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 2:12)
- A WALK OF LOVE (Ephesians 4:2)
- By Humility
- In lowliness
- In meekness
- By Enduring (Colossians 3:13-15)
- With longsuffering
- Forbearing one another
- By Esteeming
- Others highly for their labour (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)
- Others higher than yourself (Philippians 2:3-4)
- A UNIFIED WALK (Ephesians 4:3)
- Endeavoring to Keep
- The Unity of the Spirit
- The Lord prayed for unity of the believers (John 17:21)
- Believers are to speak the same things (1 Corinthians 1:10)
- Believers are to be likeminded (Romans 15:5-6; Philippians 2:2)
- The Bond of Peace
Conclusion: Are you walking worthy of the Lord? He paid a great price for you and He deserves your very best. Are you walking in love toward other believers? Are you walking in unity with those in this congregation of believers? These three things would greatly alter your life for the Lord and would be sure to bring great reward at the time of judgment. How is your walk today?
