Even There

INTRODUCTION: Psalm 139 is built on the theme of God’s knowledge of His servants.

The opening and closing of the psalm

Four sections of the psalm the fullness of the knowledge of God. (Can be compared to the four dimensions of the love of God in Ephesians 3:18)

• The breadth of His knowledge (Psalm 139:1-6) too wonderful for me (Psalm 139:6)
• The length of His knowledge (Psalm 139:7-12) Whither shall I go from (Psalm 139:7)
• The depth of His knowledge (Psalm 139:13-16) in the lowest parts of the earth (Psalm 139:15)
• The height of His knowledge (Psalm 139:17-24) how great is the sum of them! (Psalm 139:17)

Our section (Psalm 139:7-12) speaks of the presence of the knowledge of God wherever we go. No matter where we find ourselves, we will find that God is “even there” (Psalm 139:10).

1. THE PROBLEM OF GODS PRESENCE

2. THE POSSIBILITIES OF GODS PRESENCE
1. Dominion

CONCLUSION: Where are you today? Wherever it is, God is even there. Do you know Him as your Saviour? Do you trust Him as your friend? Do you submit to Him as your Lord and Master? Would you pray the prayer of verses Psalm 139:23-24?
