Will we actually recognize our friends and relations who have accepted Christ and died before us on this earth. I am not sure of the biblical teaching on this point, I have asked several people and have got differing answers.
Will those who are married here still be married in Heaven and know each other as Husband and Wife? I don't believe that Matthew 22:30, Mark 12:25 and Luke 20:34-35 are teaching that marriage ends here, because marriage was ordained by God for man and woman forever.
Our ladies are doing a book study and the other day the book stated that the great cloud of witnesses were watching us. I disagreed. The believers of the past that have died don't watch us --just inspire us to stand firm in our faith, right? I need scripture references if anyone other than God watches us from heaven.
Explain "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."
What (if any) would you say is the best age for your son to be allowed to make the majority of his decisions with our suggestions? Also, I have a situation at my church I would really like to get your input on it. It has to do with a young man of 18 years of age that belongs to a family that practices the Gothard way of courtship and a young woman 18 years of age and she belongs to a fine Christian family that does not follow courtship principles. It has caused some friction between the families...I as their Youth Pastor would like to get your take on the situation...There is so much more detail that I don't have time to write. But I can tell you that both the young people are wanting to respect and honor their parents.
