Introductory Thoughts
The Bible points to the unsaved man as an enemy of God (Romans 5:10). Fortunately, those who have trusted Christ as Saviour have been reconciled to God through the blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:10; 2 Corinthians 5:18). This reconciliation transforms the enemies of God into His ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20). What a wonderful salvation! But there is more! The Lord Jesus has given the ministry of reconciliation to all those who have been reconciled. As such, we are to submit ourselves to the work of telling others how they too can be reconciled to God. Paul understood this and declared that he was a “debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise” (Romans 1:14).
Devotional Thoughts

(For children): God wants us to tell others what He did for them so they too can go to heaven. Andrew told Peter (John 1:41-42a). Many Christians look for ways to witness; sometimes you can reach people for the Lord by inviting them to church, giving them a gospel tract or a Bible, and by giving to your church and to missions.

(For everyone): A person that is a debtor to someone is, in a sense, his servant. What does it mean to be a debtor to others for the gospels sake? To whom are you a debtor? What are you doing about this debt that you owe to others?

How can witnessing to others be considered ministry? What kind of sacrifices can you make to help others come to a saving knowledge of Christ? Are you making those sacrifices?
Prayer Thoughts
- Ask the Lord to give you a burden for those who are lost.
- Ask the Lord to show you the necessity of this ministry.
