In fact, the scripture says, “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the son” (Ecclesiastes 1:9). Many who accept or reject the sovereignty of God do so based upon a faulty understanding of the word and of the doctrine.
